Plain Ales Brewery, producer of consistently great easy drinking bitters, a singularly awesome IPA (India Plain Ale) and possibly the UK’s best Stout (Inncognito), introduces its altogether edgier younger brother:
The Kult Brewing Company.
Crafted with the care Plain Ales drinkers have come to expect, these are quality, quaffable ales, totally full of flavour and with a smooth finish. Achieved by the addition of more hops late in the brewing process and quite often during fermentation.
And to prove I know all the rules and how to break them Kult Brewing Company hits the ground running with ‘Rebel’.
1 .....rises in opposition or resistance against the established.......
Style: New England IPA.
Malts: Pale, Malted Oat, Wheat Malt
Hops: Idaho 7 and Comet
It’s natural, unfined and its vegan. It’s hazy and it’s juicy and it has a sumptuous velvety feel from the malted oats.
The aroma and flavour characteristics of the ale come from a well balanced use of Idaho 7 and Comet hops to give tropical fruit and citrus (think apricot, orange, red grapefruit, papaya) with big notes of resiny pine and hints of black tea.
